Mother & Calf - Southern Right Whales.
First seen at the end of August, two mother and calf duos used the shallow waters of Leighton Beach in North Fremantle as a resting spot for a few days on their journey down south. Not even 50m offshore, they were seen waving their fins and breaching to the delight of many observers on the beach. A truly special sight for everyone who got to see them during those days.
