Hi there,
I’m Mela, so lovely to meet you!
I’m a travel and photography enthusiast originally from Austria. With my camera always close by, I capture the beauty of wild coastlines, colorful reefs, unique wildlife, and the unforgettable landscapes I discover on my adventures around the world.
This blog is my creative outlet, a space where I share stories, photos, and snapshots that I hope spark your own adventures. I’ve always loved photographing the world, but I didn’t want my images to just sit on a hard drives and collect dust.
That’s why I started my photo print project—so my photos can bring a little joy into your home and do something meaningful. Every print you purchase helps support nature and wildlife conservation projects, protecting endangered ecosystems, plant species, and animals.
Running has recently become another way for me to connect with the world and challenge myself. My next big adventure is my first-ever marathon in Cape Town this May. In honor of this journey, all profits from my prints until the marathon will support the Grootbos Foundation, helping protect the unique Fynbos ecosystem of South Africa’s Western Cape. After Cape Town, I’ll be preparing for the Chicago Marathon in October, and I plan to support many more conservation projects in the months and years to come..
If that sounds like somthing you want to support, I’d love for you to check out the print shop and see if a photo catches your eye. Every purchase is a way to be part of this journey and contribute to protecting the natural world.
If there’s a photo you love from my Instagram or blog that isn’t in the shop yet, just send me a message. I also have many more images on my hard drives and I’ll do my best to add the ones you’re looking for.
Whether you’re here for travel ideas, photography inspiration, or simply a moment of daydreaming, I’m so glad you stopped by. Feel free to reach out anytime with comments, questions, or ideas!

The Grootbos Foundation
… is an independent South African non-profit that has been working since 2003 to conserve the Fynbos Cape Floral Kingdom, one of the world's smallest yet most biodiverse floral regions, and to build sustainable livelihoods for the communities of the Walker Bay region.
Their Conservation Research Team conducts ongoing botanical surveys, wildlife monitoring and ecological research across tens of thousands of hectares of protected fynbos habitat. On the ground, trained teams carry out invasive plant clearing and habitat restoration work, while their Green Futures College offers young adults vocational training in indigenous horticulture, eco-tourism and hospitality.
Nature and people, looked after together.
